Michael G. Babbitt, 42, of Chicago, passed away unexpectedly on February 3, 2025.
Dearly beloved husband of Elizabeth Babbitt (née Johnston); incredibly adored father of Benjamin, Nora, and Edward; precious son of Glenn and Nancy Babbitt; cherished brother of Melissa Creech; darling nephew of Gary and Margaret Babbitt; treasured son-in-law of Robert and Kathleen Johnston; dear brother-in-law of Daniel Johnston (Julie), Jennifer Johnston, and Mary Turner (Chad); fond uncle of Anna Creech, Molly Creech, James Johnston, Katherine Johnston, John Turner, and Julia Turner; and friend to many who will miss him greatly.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 10, from 3 pm to 9 pm at Lakeview Funeral Home, 1458 W. Belmont, Chicago. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 11, at 10 am, St. Andrew Catholic Church, 3546 N. Paulina Street, Chicago. Burial will take place immediately thereafter at Graceland Cemetery, 4001 N. Clark Street, Chicago.
