Richard "Dean" Lichtenwalter, 75, of Louisville, died Tuesday, April 30, 2024 at Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital in Canton, Ohio.
A son of the late William D. and Doris (Horsman) Lichtenwalter, he was born on April 22, 1949 in Shelbyville, Illinois.
Dean proudly served in the United States Navy and volunteered to serve in the Vietnam War. A steel worker by trade, Dean worked at J&L Specialty Steel in Louisville until he retired. He had a passion for photography, fishing, as well as hunting pheasant and ducks, and independently leaned the art of taxidermy.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Kathy (Stevens) Lichtenwalter; daughter, Hollie (Tracy Secrest) Lichtenwalter; two grandchildren, C.J. and Lily Secrest; two brothers, Jeff (Joyce) and Jim (Bonnie) Lichtenwalter; and several nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, Dean was preceded in death by his twin brother, William.
A Memorial Visitation will be held on Monday, May 20, 2024 from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. at Dodds Fun
