James Eugene "J.E." Hawk Obituary
James E. "JE" Hawk, 70, of Sherrodsville, Ohio, formerly of New Philadelphia, Ohio, passed away peacefully on August 18, 2024 with family by his side.
JE was born in Dover, Ohio, on November 16, 1953 to James C. and M. Phyllis (Hahn) Hawk. JE graduated from New Philadelphia High School in 1972. He married the love of his life, Orlane, on May 19, 1979. Starting in 1981, he helped build Mid-Ohio Co as a welder and owner. The business grew and flourished for years. In December of 2017 the business was sold allowing JE to retire.
He was an amazing provider for his family. He wasn't an affectionate man and was known for his fist bumps, making the hugs he gave a little extra special. For over 20 years JE and Orlane had Sunday night dinner at their house to spend time with their parents, children and grandchildren. His grandkids will always remember spending the night and the ornery shenanigans he would start. JE loved being out on the boat reeling in a wall
